This grouping contains the soldier's; Soldbuch, Wehrpaß, a 2-sided document and four (4) photographs. He was promoted to Obergefreiter. His Soldbuch was opened on February 19, 1942. He received his last equipment issue on April 19, 1945. He received 4 different rifles (to include a captured French Rifle), 3 different bayonets (to include a captured French bayonet), a compass and wire cutters. He was an Assault Boat Pilot. He won the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the Wound Badge in Black.
